A bit of an odd choice for a Bandcamp exclusive as it was already on the "I Sing The Body Electric" CD. 'Part 1' has been released before as well...

Machines is a track by Parralox that appeared on Metropolis, released a decade ago in 2010.
It's been lovingly remixed by Dubstar.
Dubstar are an English band, performing dream pop and alternative dance, as well as occasional pop ballads and, on later releases, guitar-laden rock with industrial twists and mindblowing remixes for Australian synthwave bands that start with the letter P.
The group was formed in 1992 by Steve Hillier and Chris Wilkie in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Sarah Blackwood joined in 1993 as vocalist.
"Stars", the best-selling single by Dubstar, received a great deal of play time in clubs.
"Stars" brought Dubstar American recognition.
Marvel now at the shoegaze/dreampop stylings of Machines (Dubstar Remix).
Special thanks to Steve, Chris and Sarah.

Machines
Written by John von Ahlen
Verse 1
You gave me nothing, I gave you enough
Why can’t I trust you, it’s more than enough
I send you letters, I save you my heart
I made a promise, I fell from the start
We all need lovers, we all need a friend
It’s not a science, please say it again
Like falling crystals, my heartache it grows
I feel the passion, this time I should go
Chorus
I, I’ve fallen in
I’ve fallen in love with my friend, loyal friend
And I, I fall in love
I know you’re not afraid to fall to fall in love again
I, I’ve fallen in
I’ve fallen in love with my friend, loyal friend
And I, I’ve fallen in
I’ve fallen in love with my friend again
Verse 2
We go to Berlin, we travel by plane
We go to London again and again
Two steps forward then two steps back
We’re still hidden, but we like it like that
And ten years later, we stick to our plan
I’m a woman and you are a man
We’re still together and we are still friends
I love this journey, please don’t let it end
Repeat Chorus
Middle 8 (Unused in this remix)
We feel, mmm yeah yeah
Do you feel the love, we feel the love yeah
Do you feel the love, I feel the love
Do you feel the love
There’s someone calling out
For your love
It’s calling all around you

If ever there was a new electronic pop band to encapsulate and emulate the legendary stylings of Depeche Mode, The Human
League, Erasure, New Order, Pet Shop Boys and the spirit of Madonna in her 80s day-glo era, then Australia’s Parralox are that modern-day reincarnation....more

A Secret Wish is still an album I play to this day. It has never waned. I actually think it has got better with age. I'm not a fan generally of live recordings but this is one I love listening to. And Disziplin is on here too. Just as I remember it on The Tube. Who could ask for anything more? Just wish I would have been there but this is the next best thing. ❤ bazgray

Bandcamp is my favorite app. Without Bandcamp I would missed out on a lot of great music like Empathy Test! A wonderful album. Occasionally bombastic with nice synths and the voice of Isaac Howlett on top. Well done guys💪🏽 Fredschuit
