People of Earth, your attention please.

Human is a song originally performed by my all time favourite band The Human League (Depeche Mode being my 2nd all time favourite band).

The song appeared on the album Crash, and was released in 1986.

We take you into an alternate dimension where Susan Sulley didn't give Martin Rushent a truckload of attitude, causing him to leave mid session, but rather everyone got along rather nicely, and Martin stayed on and produced the next 10 Human League albums.

Close your eyes and imagine if Human had been produced by Martin Rushent.
Would it would have sounded something like this?
We dare to dream....

This is the first mix of Human for the Holiday '19 sessions and was recorded on Thursday the 8th of August, 2019.

(Terry Lewis, James Harris III)

Come on, baby, dry your eyes
Wipe your tears
Never like to see you cry
Won’t you please forgive me?

I wouldn’t ever try to hurt you
I just needed someone to hold me
To fill the void while you were gone
To fill this space of emptiness

I’m only human of flesh and blood I’m made
Human, born to make mistakes

So many nights I longed to hold you
So many times I looked and saw your face
Nothing could change the way I feel
No one else could ever take your place

I’m only human of flesh and blood I’m made
Human, born to make mistakes
(I am just a man)
Human, ohh human

Please forgive me
The tears I cry aren’t tears of pain
They’re only to hide my guilt and shame
I forgive you, now I ask the same of you
While we were apart I was human too

Human, woah, ohh, human

I’m only human of flesh and blood I’m made
(I am just a man)
Human, born to make mistakes

Parralox Melbourne, Australia

If ever there was a new electronic pop band to encapsulate and emulate the legendary stylings of Depeche Mode, The Human League, Erasure, New Order, Pet Shop Boys and the spirit of Madonna in her 80s day-glo era, then Australia’s Parralox are that modern-day reincarnation. ... more
